Sprint Putting $4.5bn Into Nationwide WiMAX

I am really looking forward to this. Maybe some competition will bring broadband prices down closer to international averages.
Sprint announced its fourth-generation wireless system today. The so-called WiMAX technology won’t see commercial availability until early 2008, but this is a first step in the direction of what Sprint (along with a number of partners and competitors) hopes will become a paradigm of Internet everywhere.
