This is hilarious! The CP80 (Clean Port 80) foundation, wants to make it against US federal law to transfer pornographic material over port 80 on the internet. Of course, they are ignoring all of the flaws of this plan such as the internet being global and US law not applying outside of the US. By the way, this idiotic crusade is being lead by Ralph Yarro, chairman of the board of directors for SCO. That would explain the complete lack of understanding of technology.

This is amusing. I’d be curious how this was pulled off.
An act of “sabotage” caused hard-core pornography to cut into a Monday night news show hosted by Tom Brokaw.
Valley viewers called Cox Communications and flooded local news media outlets following the 9 p.m. program about national health care, which aired on KPPX-TV (Cox Channel 17).
Chandler parent Brenda Schodt said she was shocked when a series of graphic sex acts suddenly appeared on her television screen.
“Maybe five or 10 minutes into the show there was no volume,” Schodt said. “I thought it was the TV, but when I looked up, there were these images.”
Cox spokeswoman Andrea Katsenes said Tuesday that the unexpected clips were not caused by Cox, and that the problem was a “source issue” with the broadcaster.
ION Television, which operates KPPX, called the problem “an act of human sabotage” at its station.

A 45-year-old man has been charged over the theft of 39 payphones in Darwin during the past eight months.
Police say the pay phones, removed from phone booths all over the city, were worth about $136,000.
Police say not all of the stolen telephones have been found, but it is alleged the man buried some of the phones in various locations around Darwin.

An Amsterdam judge has ruled that peep shows — where sex workers performing strip shows and explicit acts can be watched from booths — are a form of theater and club owners are therefore entitled to a hefty tax break.
“Admitting customers to peep shows is equivalent to admitting them to a theater performance,” an Amsterdam Appeals Court judge wrote in a ruling late last month that was made public Tuesday. “The erotic character of the performance does not diminish that.”

In other news, the Arizona school system has also put the riddler in charge of security.
Three schools in the north Phoenix suburb of Cave Creek were on lockdown for about 45 minutes Wednesday morning after a student at Desert Arroyo Middle School reported seeing a person dressed as Batman run across campus, jump a fence and disappear into the desert, Scottsdale police Sgt. Mark Clark said.
